I've always loved how instagram makes your photos look so good so here is a spam :)

And I love these Essence polishes. Only $2.80 per bottle and it makes perfect sense to buy them!
The bottles are mini which is good because I don't think I'll ever use finish a full bottle of OPI.
Plus the Essence polishes come in so many wonderful shades! Quality is good as well :D

Here we have Essence A Lovely Secret and Essence Nude Glam Hazelnut Cream Pie.
The Colour 3 is City That Never Sleeps to be layered over Midnight Date.
I'm a sucker for cute names.

Hazelnut Cream Pie swatch? Pardon the awful shaped nails. I broke them last week pulling out staples.
Formula is perfect, and even though it's nude, it's not sheer! 2 coats will do.
There is subtle purple shimmer but not really visible in photos.

Blue Skies

And part 2 of my dear retreat :)

I was pretty amazed by the peelable banana ice cream!

The crabs and salted egg dishes were pretty amazing but my almost-as-small-as-iphone camera fails under poor light conditions.

And I seriously can't believe we actually trekked.

A Little Retreat

You know how the excitement brims when you get to go travelling with friends, to escape from Singapore, our busy lives, and go to somewhere where we can throw away our schedules and indulge in the idyllic activities with the luxury of time.

It was a joyful and relaxing 4 days to Tioman Island. 

There's really nothing much to do except to experience nature and relax.

We didn't have much of an itinerary, we just went to where our feet brought us. 

The vastness of the ocean and the sky was captivating, and to quote "what are men compared to rocks and mountain" - Pride and Prejudice

We did snokelling, kayaking, canoeing, exploring trekking, digging for gold/rocks/shells/crabs, playing Monopoly Deal, eating lots of good food, killing bees and cockroaches, chasing away cats and sleeping a lot.

Quite a change for me to blog something like this. 

In any case, we stayed at Paya Beach Resort on Tioman Island, ours was a cheap Kampong house and everything was basic but comfortable (except for the cockroach, bees and cat!). Food was buffet and decent, you can order seafood at night, yums! 

You can visit other Kampongs with the Ferry or Speed Boat, transport may cost quite a bit though...
