Review: Rebecca Minkoff Mini Cupid Satchel in Teal

Hi everyone!
Today I'm here to do a review of a bag I got last summer (I can't believe it's last summer already, time flies!)
One fine day in the office I was really bored (as with similar internships) and was thinking about end of summer sales and found other that Rebecca Minkoff website was having a sale, and additional 20% off for first order.
I was initially thinking of getting the Mini Mac in teal (it was on sale too) but then I saw this Mini Cupid Satchel was on sale too and in teal colour as well!
I would have gotten both (haha) if not for that it'll really deplete my pockets and I really think I shouldn't get both designs in the same colour.
I went for the Cupid because... I thought it's a rarer design than the Mini Mac and how often will I catch it in my favourite colour - and on SALE? Mini Macs are more readily available and there are many colours I would love to get, for instance, YELLOW!

So back to the Cupid, I ordered it off the website and inclusive of shipping (international) it costs around USD$187. I think the original price is $298 but correct me if I'm wrong.
The shipping was fast and it arrived within a week (after it was shipped, it took a few days to get it shipped as it was sales period) in a gigantic box. I was really afraid it didn't arrive on time before I left Singapore and contacted the customer service and they are really helpful!

Enough talking, let's get to the bag!

So this is the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Cupid in Teal with silver hardware. I have a thing for Rose Gold but it shall do.
The leather is slightly matt, not the distressed-ish smooth polished kind I would have really loved. The leather is thicker than expected.

This is the front of the bag, with a flap pocket and the main zipper has the leather strap detail. There is no tassel, I think it's the normal larger sized cupid which has the tassel.
The handles can be detached and so can the sling strap (adjustable).

The back has the RM logo.

The inside. There is a large zupper compartment with a smaller compartment right outside of it. And the other side has a larger compartment that can fit an iphone 4.

What it looks like with some stuff in it.

The front pocket

And underneath the flap, another pocket.
Sometimes I wonder if I should venture into youtube videos for reviews.
You know when I watch videos for these reviews, you can just get a better spatial idea of it and the relative size than just photos.
But I don't like to watch and scan through a whole video, or load it in the first place...
I doubt I'll be comfortable talking in a video too.

The details of the leather and studs.

So... what can it fit?

I haven't used it for some time, because it's more of the summer bag, so I randomly stuffed some things into it.
And it fits:
sunglasses
iphone 5
Small bottle
Umbrella
Wallet
Fat pouch

Fits quite a bit! In summer, it fit my shrug or thin cardigan.

So let's see some studio photos for a better idea!

I'm still lusting after a Mini Mac though... because it looks so sleek and easy to bring around, although I'm sure I won't be able to fit all my barangs into it.
I don't put my camera inside because it's really heavy and I am afraid the straps will tear off. Honestly, the thing straps just aren't the sturdiest things, as I have learnt from another Denna & Ozzy bag.

While I was buying this bag, the website also had on sale a printed Mini MAB tote, which I was going to get at $45 (before 20% applied) BUT it was sold out just on the day I decided to order!

Isn't it the loviest of all summer prints?
If you see anywhere or anyone selling, do let me know :)

Hope the review helped!

P.S. This marks my 100th post!
