China Glaze Holiday Joy 2012 Swatches and Review

Here are some swatches of the China Glaze Holiday 2012 Collection Holiday Joy! I got the 6 glitters from the collection before I left, but I didn't bring along Glitter All The Way.

Before I start, I had such a difficult time uploading the photos because my card reader somehow refuses to work and my phone refuses to upload photos onto blogger as well... hope my card reader is not eternally spoilt!
By the way, blogger isn't work very well too.

Swatches!
Left to right:
Glistening Snow
Champagne Kisses
Angel Wings
Winter Holly
Glitter All The Way
Pizzazz

I did 3 coats of each except for the 2 coats for Glitter All The Way and 1 coat of Pizzazz. I used one coat of top coat but it doesn't work very well for the first 4 as you can see the matt areas in the middle.

Now for some close ups :)

Glistening Snow is a silver based fine glitter with hologaphic glitters scattered throughout.

Champagne Kisses is a copper based fine glitter with hologaphic glitters scattered throughout.

Angel Wings is a gold based fine glitter with hologaphic glitters scattered throughout.

Okay essentially they are similar except for the colours. Application was good.

Winter Holly is a green based fine glitter with hologaphic glitters scattered throughout. However, unlikes the above 3 there was clumping of glitters.

Glitter All The Way has glitters of 2 sizes of mainly green, pink, silver and some gold. Formula was alright though a bit of clumping occured.

Pizzazz is a multi glitter overlay with several sizes of hex glitter a bit like OPI Rainow Connection but in general the glitters are smaller. From the bottle, most of the glitters are silver, quite some pink and very little of the rest. Only the silver had large hex glitters so maybe that's why.
Not as colourful as I would have liked it. It was easy to apply though.

Now I have used Winter Holly for the past week. Chipping was horrible after 2 days though.

Here is how it looks like!
The holographic particles glitter in the light :)

Merry early Christmas now! Great colletion for holiday!
I am not sure when they will be officially released but hope it helps for your to decide which to get :) If you stay in Singapore they are available from the flea stalls!

Creamy White

HVV Sunrise Minidress in White
Quite worth it, I think it's only around $20, and it's not really sheer. Made of thick chiffon rayon material! It's definitely longer than what's stated on the website though.

LB Tazelle Tank in Coral XS
This has been reviewed so many times and I can't believe I've not worn it out yet! Very versatile :D

SMooch Cordelia Peach Dress
Finally arrived from BO! I love the colour, chiffon quality is so-so, the back design is some clip which is quite unique! I don't really like the elastic waist.
Is it too big on me? :( Should I keep or sell?
TTR Cest La Vie Top in Cream S
TTR Fresh Picks Denim Shorts in Light Wash XS
I love the design and cutting for the top but don't really like the material (georgette chiffon), nevertheless it's really versatile! Will look great with floral bottoms and skirts etc. The shorts are a bit short but the prints are nice :D

MGG Everyday Runched Basic Blouse in White S
I love the smooth silky material of this top, and it's an awesome basic. Looks so pristine and clean! A bit expensive though, especially after adding postage.

TVD Emboridered Peterpan Top in Cream S
Major love! Wore it out the next day I received it. The embroidery is really pretty and size S will fit UK4-6 best, might be tight for UK8.

That's about it! Still left my LP Strawberry Tarts Dress... Where is it?!

I must have thrown my blog into oblivion.

Now I'm on to another hurried and busy moment, and I seriously can't decide which of these babies from my stash to pack :(
Just bear with me for a moment!

(And why did blogger change back to the old way of uploading photos or is there something wrong with my computer? It's so slow and troublesome!)
